About This Course
This is a fun filled weekend, designed to introduce our upcoming generation to the wonderful world of sewing and dressmaking!
Learn how to using a sewing machine; how to choose fabric; use a paper pattern; and sew seams, hems and pleats. Each of our students will create a gorgeous pleated skirt with an elasticated waistband, in a fabric of their choice. At the end of the workshop students will take away their finished garment, their paper pattern (so they can make it again!) and an illustrated instruction e-book.
This course is suitable for children aged 10-15 years old (8-9 year olds with previous sewing experience will be considered). And in the interests of child safety, the tutor leading this course has been through full Disclosure Scotland.
