About This Course
This is the ideal step up from the Beginner's 'Making Clothes' course and is suitable for those with a basic grasp of garment construction, having made at least one item of clothing.
Led by Susie Haigh, this 10 week, in-depth course is designed to reinforce your basic skill set whilst allowing your understanding to grow in new areas such pattern alterations, set-in sleeves, inserting collars, bust adjustments, linings, using an overlocker, and specialty seem finishes. As you learn these new techniques, you'll be applying them to your own toile and final garment, chosen from our selection of patterns.
Take Homes
At the end of this course you can expect to take home:
- Your toile and finished garment (note, some people finish their garment after the course has ended)
- Your chosen pattern - so that you can make it again!
- Any samples you have made during the class
- An understanding of new techniques and an increased confidence in constructing clothing using your sewing machine.
- The .Making Clothes Beyond Beginner. e-book to use as a reference for future projects.
